Jeffrey (Jeff) Hart is a composer and arranger in the classical and jazz traditions. His works have earned recognition from the American String Teachers Association (ASTA) and the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA), and have been premiered by the Pennsylvania Chamber Winds, Chester County Concert Band, West Chester University Wind Ensemble, and Providence Chamber Orchestra. Jeff holds degrees from The University of Toledo and Duquesne University. He taught band and music courses at the high school and middle school levels for over a decade in southeast Pennsylvania, and now serves as a music teacher in his home state of Delaware. Jeff has presented professional development sessions at local and state level PMEA conferences. He can be heard locally in the tri-state area performing as a saxophonist with the Blackbird Society Orchestra and the Pennsylvania Symphonic Winds. In addition to his self-published output (Hart Music), Jeff is also a published composer through Grand Mesa Strings and Randall Standridge Music.

♥ My piece Aboard The Galleon (for concert band) earned recognition in the 2022 PMEA Composition Contest. I am thrilled that it will be performed by the West Chester University Wind Ensemble at the PMEA Annual In-Service Conference in April!
♥ The Pennsylvania Chamber Winds, who premiered my piece Song of Antheia in June of 2021, will be performing the piece again at the 2022 PMEA Annual In-Service Conference in April!
♥ I have completed my book, 46 American Chorales for Band. These 46 tunes by 25 American composers are arranged in flexible 4-part harmony, and historical anecdotes about the composers are included. ♥ Intro Respice is a choral work written for SATB with divisi. It will be premiered in the Spring of 2022 by Coro da Capo, led by my great friend and amazing choral director Ms. Marsha Core! ♥ Fanfare for the Next Chapter is a piece I just completed (in December of 2020) for the Chester County Concert Band. It commemorates the band’s 40th anniversary, which they are celebrating in 2021! The piece is available for sale here. It was premiered at the band’s July 7th performance at Rose Tree Park in Media, PA. ♥ I am honored to have had my piece, Song of Antheia, selected for performance by the Pennsylvania Chamber Winds, a wonderful double woodwind quintet based in southeastern PA! They premiered this piece on June 6th, 2021 in West Chester, PA. I also had the great privilege of being present for their rehearsal the day prior!
